There is a little bit of history behind how I ended up with the priviledge of shooting Cindy and Andre’s wedding. In 2011 on a trip to Mauritius, I met both Cindy and Andre’s parents who were staying at the same hotel as myself. We stayed in touch after the holiday was over and when Andre proposed to Cindy I was so honoured to be asked to photograph their wedding.
Cindy and Andre chose to have the wedding Avoca just outside Kirkwood in the Eastern Cape. Cindy’s father worked along with the owners to extend the deck so all the guests would fit during the reception. Both families put alot of work into making this day what it was and it was really perfect.
They are both such friendly, relaxed people and I really enjoyed spending time with them and getting to know them both a little better. They adore each other and just seem to fit so perfectly. This really was a coming together of two very close, very special families.
The whole day was filled with laughter and love and all the guests partied late into the night.
